Police Chiefs are the fall guys

I live in Northern Kentucky and I don't really keep track of Cincinnati Politics that much, but I did note on the news that Cincinnati city manager has given the police chief notice to get his act together, whatever that means. I guess that someone has to be the fall guy for the crime in Cincinnati, why not the Police Chief.
My father is retired Cincinnati PD and I am ex-Cheviot, Ohio PD. We both were cops when the public, media, courts, children, etc. supported the police. There was order on the streets at night and the City of Cincinnati had a low crime rate. I feel this existed because the cops on the street and in the patrol cars had control and support.
The Chiefs of Departments administrated , the street guys controlled crime. There was inter department discipline for those who got out of line but generally we were well trained and knew the law and enforced wrong doing "BECAUSE THE LAW SAID SO". We also policed our own and took care of the ones who might tarnish our image.
What happened?
The ACLU and lawyers and a misguided TV media!
I wrote an article, about 40 years ago, that was published by the Cincinnati Enquirer predicting how lawyers could break down law and order by their greed and polictical ambition. Lawyers control the courts, all levels of government and most judges could not make it in private practice so they took to politics. The article was well responded to by answers I received and believe it or not by the brass of Cincinnati PD. But....my prediction became reality today. But I should have added the media to the article.
The police are not without blame. A few bad apples (Rodney King case etc) , New York PD and LA PD's were bad happenings. These were cannon fodder for civil rights groups, and bad supreme court rulings added to the liberal and minority group's activities and success.
Without going into a lot of detail and being telegraphic about it, Police departments were forced to change the way they do things. They lowered their standards to accomodate minority groups, which overall allowed a lower class of individual to become a cop. I have heard from police sources that Cincinnati has felons on their department. I have not been able to verify it but I guess it is possible on any department these days.
Cincinnati used to be known as the best Police Department in the world. Japan sent their officers here to train etc. Now Cincinnati is way down low on the list. They do not enjoy the prestige they once had.
If I was a young man today, knowing what I know, I would not go into law enforcement. THey are always the fall guy for a sick society. The sickness is within our society and the police cannot control it or cure it.
We are on our way to Anarchy and when we get there, Katie Bar The Door. Wait and see who and what will be controlling you then!
Thank you younger generation. You started the ball rolling by electing this president. He was elected by demented people wanting something for nothing. I grew up knowing I had to work hard for what I wanted. We now have a daily bad example in the federal government showing our younger generation how to live off the system.
They are the children of the ones that spit on our soldiers and burned Old Glory. May God forgive them. I don't!
As a side note, the TV series Blue Bloods is a very good program but don't believe it is the way it really is in New York City. Personally I feel it is an effort to change New York City's police image which was not too good.
